“For everything, there is a season and for every season there is a time…” - Ecclesiastes 3

A time to be born

and a time to die

18% of all teens in the us

are killed in car wrecks

A time to plant

and a time to uproot,

A time to kill

and a time to heal,

A time to pull down

and a time to build up,

Los Angeles, 1972, a whispering

whirlwind of dust and fire

A time to weep

and a time to laugh,

A time for mourning

and a time for dancing,

A time to scatter stones

and a time to gather them,

A time to embrace

and a time to refrain from embracing,

A time to seek

and a time to lose,

George Floyd, Breonna Taylor,

And Trayvon Martin among

too many others.

A time to keep

and a time to throw away,

A time to tear

and a time to mend

A time for silence

and a time for speech,

Martin Luther King Junior’s

last words leaving us

on the wings of flightless birds

A time for love

and a time for hate,

A time for war

and a time for peace,

NOW AND FOREVER
