A Thousand Summers

The Sun shines upon the Moon

Some things will always stay true..

A thousand Winter’s become a thousand Summer’s…

New stars in the sky tell me that I have never even had a clue..

At the edge of Peer’s cliff..

I finally know what I must do..

Much like the Epic of Gilgamesh..

I’ve encountered love and loss..

Monsters and monsoons..

Pity me none..

For I love my solitude…

Seldom can humans uncover my light…

Spectacles of many hues..

Abandon me once the tornado hits..

As the wind begins to roar..

It shall spare me once I share my tales..

My delusions of grandeur…

The Martyr, I’d rather be…

It is only karmic justice that I wish to see..

I’ll bring the Fall into the Spring..

A phantom mercenary in plain sight, I hide and seek..

Interesting poem. I don't know if I got some of the reference, but I liked where this went. :)
