All those tears seemed to fade away. 
All that pain was kept at bay. 
Then suddenly, you crossed my path one day, 
I thought I was on a beautiful way. 
 
A petal of a rose, you seemed to me, 
My heart skipped a beat when you smiled at me. 
Your beautiful eyes were fixed on mine, 
Who knew it was just a fleeting sign? 
 
I didn’t know you’d leave in silence, 
I thought you were here for a lasting alliance. 
It turns out you were just a passing guest. 
Never before had I felt this test. 
 
I didn’t realise I was just a moment for you. 
Thanks for the lesson and the heartache too.
