A Tearless September

A. Rose

Ashes of the shadows lay in stillness of grey,

Kiss of death,

Within the last breath.

A kingdom in reign.

Heartless, will they ever mourn,

While the heartfulness shed tears to fulfill the desert’s storm.

Commonwealth in golds,

Excellence of divine,

Although,

Today they refuse to cry.

Some stories of warriors of bold,

Soon will be buried beneath the weight of the foretold.

Great Britain’s flag tremble under the new weight of a crown.

Darkness and light filter throughout the king’s eyes.

Jewels of old,

Carry our souls.

As we continue to survive,

Do not forget us our queen,

As you become the distant memory’s dream.
