A Sunday Eagle

Poem

By K.A. SmithPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

Like Sunday...
A Savior?
What in
Dresses up?
A shirt and tie?
A suit?
Does soar to?
Do sit?
Listen to
With the choir in the nest
And scream.
Joining in?
The song is over
My head.
The preacher...
A sermon?
A sunday eagle.

I loved this poem. It beautifully compares an eagle's flight to the soul's search for meaning. It feels raw and deeply human, like longing for something greater. You are amazing. Keep up the good work
