A Streak of Love
A Poem
By Kale SinclairPublished about a year ago • Updated about a year ago • 1 min read

Three tiger cubs were orphaned by poachers.
Rescued in short order from their eternal torture
by a nursing golden retriever who protected and nurtured.
Age soon dwarfed the retriever as the cubs quickly became teenagers.
Yet age failed to waiver mom’s stern handle on any and all forms of
bad behavior. Time continued to tick, turning those teens into
territorial adults. Wild and dangerous they became yet
unconditionally shared the same pulse. Their mother was different,
a bird dog among a streak of tigers, but love bound them for life
and mom continued to protect them from spiders.
