A Special Memory in Ballymagarvey Village
Mary and Tim's Wedding

In Ballymagarvey Village, beneath gentle skies,
I watched my daughter, Mary, walk with wonder in her eyes.
Tim stood waiting, steady and loving in every line—
A bond so pure and luminous it felt almost divine.
I’d written words, rehearsed them well, yet still my heartbeat stirred;
Three speeches held my memories, each tender, trembling word.
Then came my secret moment—stepping forward, love-defined—
The father turned officiant, two roles at once combined.
I tried to hold each instant close, to absorb the whole day’s grace,
The candlelit emotions etched on every joyful face.
The guests became warm lanterns, lifting blessings from above,
Their laughter and their teardrops weave waves of human love.
And as she pledged her life to him beneath that Irish sky,
A lifetime rose within my chest—I couldn’t help but cry.
For in that sacred moment, framed by history, hope, and sea,
My little girl, now bride, now grown, stood forever part of me.

What a gorgeous piece. You’ve captured the emotion of watching your daughter marry so honestly, it’s impossible not to feel it with you.
