A Soulful Feast
Spooky Gratitude CInquains
“Give thanks, with a grateful heart.” Michelle Liew

Frost creeps
Hearth light wanes dim
A dark shadow sweeps in,
An uninvited, ghostly guest,
Who waits.
***********************************************************
Years past,
They set his plate
Gratitude resounding.
Now their greed cries, their squabbles ring
She’s gone.
***********************************************************
She stirs,
A solemn wraith,
Her voice an icy breeze,
“Your feast fades when your souls grow cold-”
Take care.”
***********************************************************
Her words
echo off the walls,
“Fill this place with great heart.
Take heed that heartfelt thanks always
Finds space."
