A Solitary Snowflake

...

A solitary snowflake,

So perfect it seems fake,

In the wake of daybreak,

Almost destroyed by a parking brake,

A near unredeemable mistake,

Worthy of observation at tea break,

With a slice of sponge cake,

But preserved in intake,

As a personal keepsake,

I hope remains a flake,

If possibly for my sake,

Different from the snowy shake,

A winter earthquake,

I regret to forsake,

The little things at stake,

Things we can't remake,

But for some reason can't unshake,

In a world of give-and-take,

This meeting takes the cake,

In a chaotic make-or-break,

Life you can't deepfake,

Often in need of a hard break,

To destress and rewake.
