A Soldier
Life is his war, his battle's for love
From the day he was born, blessed by he who hovers above
Most times as a child, where it was nothing but struggles
Raised in poverty, street wise from the all troubles
He may not be the brightest one, academically
But life is something that he takes in, intelligently
Raised up differently, from the streets so they judge him cruelly.
He's not perfect, never claimed to be yet he's no one other then he.
And They Got him confused about this whole colour trip
He's not talking about whats happening between a blood or a crip
He's talking about the skin tone on the same type of bone, that they use to segregate
He's colour blind at ones skin shown, recognise why he cant relate?
Racism was something, he also was victimised by
Came to hate all discrimination, like his hate for a lie
Some come to hate the race who used discrimination
How does revenge show a good example to the next generation
All people have their story, you'd be surprised if you knew
The ones who you assumed of, how much they have been through
They say never judge a book by its cover
Metaphorically, still people are quick to judge one another
Its amusing in its own way and much easier to do wrong and hate
Even if life was hard enough, He chose love as his fate
Watch him rise, getting much stronger and wise
Born to see hell on earth, so he's fighting for paradise
For the fathers and the mothers, the sisters and brothers who suffer
A life of violence, abuse, drugs and alcohol beyond measure
He prays to God, that through this path that arose
For the soldiers of righteousness gain justice from all of their foes
Let righteousness and love, conquer this battle truly
So that the goodhearted are rewarded and celebrate victory
A soldier from the time he was in his mothers womb
A soldier he will be until his names set on that tomb
To those who make of him an enemy;
God's will take care of his reality ...
