A Softened Heart

A heart once bound by steel and stone,

Worn by the battles it faced alone,

Found solace in a tender gaze,

And slowly softened through love’s maze.

The walls that once stood tall and proud,

Came crumbling down without a sound.

A touch, a word, a whispered plea,

Brought forth the strength in vulnerability.

No longer cold, no longer lost,

It learned that warmth was worth the cost.

Through gentle hands and patient grace,

A softened heart found its rightful place.

In the dance of life, it dared to beat,

To feel each joy and each defeat.

For in the softness it embraced,

A hardened heart was gently traced.

Now, open wide to love’s sweet call,

It knows that softness conquers all.

For in the yielding, it became,

A beacon bright, a glowing flame.

No longer hidden, no longer scarred,

A softened heart now beats unmarred.

In love’s embrace, it found its start,

A gentle, warm, and softened heart.
