My nose is red and my eyes are pink,
wet like water falls down the sides of my cheeks
I lay my head on the thick of my sheets and silently, I weep.
My hand lifts up to reach my chest and flattens out towards the left,
embracing bass with even breath because this scene has touched me.
A giggle here, some gentle words exchanged alone in bed with I,
talking to myself explaining why it feels so good to cry and oh-
This movie moves me, mitigating all of my stress,
giving me catharsis leaving space to wonder, space to bless.
It’s sad that I’ve forgotten what connects my soul to happiness,
but at this moment I’m reminded it indeed feels like this.
