Eventually,

I lost it—

A quiet unraveling,

Rather,

Or was it always this way?

The cries are

Growing in intensity

I no longer

Feel safe

Animosity

It is animosity,

A shadow with no face

Cannot hide

From these fractured reflections,

Cannot integrate

Into a world unyielding,

Cannot alter

The relentless script

Cannot commence

Anew beneath this weight

Where is heaven

When the sky is silent?

This is my exit

Perhaps not

Unlikely

Vindicate for us

Only memory will remain

The inhumane

The crooked

The disturbing grin

A gutless pig

How many more lives?
