behind a foreign cafe

is where you will find

cabinets with memoirs

study notes from students

and souls captured in

pages old and new

if you know you know

if you’ve gone to Westgate

you’ve gone too far

but if you’re sitting in Starbucks

then you’ve also gone too far

blending in the alleyways

Roman colleges and red buses

each step takes you to a 1000

Years of history and fairy tales

beyond the ancestral homes

rainbow canals and markers

the fairy lights will lead you

to the hidden door

where the masterpieces of tomorrow

turn up on a postcard

performance poetry
