A revelation from the rising at dawn.

Far across the luscious plains,

Atop a barren hill,

The dawn had yet to truly start its reign,

And the winds caress would chill,

I notice an unusual sight to behold,

A woman gazing near the east,

History many a times foretold,

Days would pass before the harvest feast,

Curious about what the day would bring,

Interested in the unraveling sight,

The birds uplift a song to sing,

As the prelude to the morning light,

As I look into her focused eyes,

Such orbs of the darkest shade,

They spoke of joy, my heart then sighs,

What a man like me could trade?

What was the price for such a dame?

A creature with beauty truly rare,

With a grin that melts my heart to shame,

And a mind that spoke with choicest words so fair,

The softest, highest pitch and tone,

With wisdom flowing upon her voice,

Turned my heart to flesh from stone,

She’s the perfect friend and choice.
