A Rare Thing

Our own might

A rare thing, hidden from us, beyond our sight

A vision lost to us, if not for our might

That striving for something, no matter the cost

A journey we have come, as past borders have been crossed

A rare thing, knowledge given by nature so grand

A glimpse of the truth, though we can't quite grasp

That understanding of something, just beyond our reach

An answer hidden in darkness, a mystery beyond the beach

A rare thing, beauty to beholden pure and white

Like sunshine over the ocean, a pathway to the light

A secret moment of hope, when no else can compare

A subtle feeling of peace, as through dark clouds a sunbeam will appear

A rare thing, precious forever in our memories

A promise of tomorrow, so clear and so free

A shining hope of forever, amidst hate and greed

When the world still shows us the goodness of all we can be

A rare thing, hidden from us, beyond our sight

A vision lost to us, if not for our own might
