A Quiet Place

Finding Peace Where Nature Whispers

I walk where wildflowers gently sway,

Where shadows dance and soft winds play,

Where worries melt like morning dew,

And all the world feels kind and new.

A river hums a silver song,

It carries broken thoughts along,

It tells me secrets of the trees,

And folds my heart in whispered ease.

The sky leans low to kiss the land,

It paints with clouds a gentle hand,

The sun spills gold on fields of green,

A softer world, a calmer scene.

Birds weave their notes through open air,

Their freedom humbles every care,

Their wings remind my restless mind

To leave my heavy fears behind.

I sit beneath an ancient oak,

Its branches speak in wisdom’s cloak,

It teaches me to stand so still,

To listen close, to bend my will.

Here, time forgets to chase its race,

Here, I am small yet full of grace,

I trade my burdens for a breeze,

I barter sorrow for some peace.

No city’s noise, no bitter haste,

No memories I can’t erase,

Just earth and sky and breath to take,

A gentle dawn, a calm awake.

When I return to life’s loud call,

I’ll carry pieces of it all

This quiet place inside my chest,

A hidden home where I can rest.
