A Puddle of Water

A poem about quiet depression

I sit in empty hollows

And shallow water

As mascara tears stream down my cheeks

and drip down onto my white T-shirt

A salty breeze

leaves goosebumps on my skin

Another starless night

Where thunder shakes the ground

It never stops raining these days

sad poetry

That image of the mascara tears really paints the weight of sadness beautifully.
