A Poetic Dear Moon Letter

As Submitted To The Letters To The Moon Challenge

By Marc OBrienPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Dear Pareidolia in the Moon:

As I put pudding to my spoon

Sitting on the roof

Seeking life’s truth

I want to know

Where you go?

During the day

After collecting graveyard shift pay

Saying good night

When the sun rises very bright

Do you disappear into the unknown?

Going to sleep all alone

Or answer messages, using the cell text phone

To communicate

With other Steller orbits wanting to get things straight

About the cycle lasting twenty-four hours

Funding field worker power

Until we turn clocks back

Then forward watching the moon get attacked

Taking away time

Knowing no one will mind

In conclusion

Is all this your choosing?

Do you shine showing powerful might?

Or allow rest, dimming the fireball light?

Sincerely yours,

On tour
