A poem is
A cloud of sounds
Coalesced
Stretched
Woven
Leashed
Unleashed onto
An unexpecting world of ho hum
Into the hands of children
Dripping with ice cream
And suppressed screams
Finding finger holds in hearts and minds
Breaking barriers open
Leaking into cells
Arching, reaching, pulling, weeping
Taffy letters into wordy words
In a rhythm known and ancient
Delighting, amusing, confusing
Anyone willing to listen
