A Penny For A Thought

If I got a penny for every thought

I thought up...

I'd be stocking dollars in my pockets

like I was winning the lotto!

Maybe tomorrow because today I'm still living with nada.

I gotta rock it hotter than a Vegas slot in the hock

to break the locks and take my spot up at the top of the lot.

I plot to never stop

talking props to the fallen; or walking.

In y'all's love, I gotta get caught up!

I'm dropping my products

on the stage or the floor.

I'm not playing anymore.

This ain't a board game. It's a war

for getting paid.

I'll forfeit the wage,

forget my names,

morph in my brain

because I'm aiming for more

to get saved;

rescued out of the grave

where I've wasted a lot of years;

created my mommas' tears.

I used my faith to escape away.
