From a brain that works all around the clock,

And too many thought to ever take stock,

Finding those with no need to stay,

Whittling them down to hammer away,

Burning off years of bitterful spite,

Smithing instead these new thoughts of light,

Power of spirit, bending of will,

And clarity of thought I still work to distill,

For now simply trying to keep myself jolly,

As I work my way through the flaws and the folly,

Learning the pitfalls of being a man,

All in accordance with thee divine plan,

~~~
So for the pieces that come and the peaces that flow,
For the loves that are lost which I had once known,
For the bruises and etching on this stalwart heart,
That once was whole at my very start,
Thanks for the pain I now allow to depart,
For making me feel 'LIVE through your sting and your smart,
For the strongest push down this path I have grown,
Since suffering is the way to teach what I know.
