See that maroon over there?

I got that on sale.

It's my power, my vivacity,

The one that blazes my trail.

You'll see that deep shade,

On me as I fight,

To help other people,

To bring others their light.

Do you see that green-blue?

Lazing casually in the air?

That's what happens when I draw.

You'll see my patience and my care.

Sometimes I borrow the blue,

From a friend's talk or letter.

The kind that fills you with warmth,

The kind that makes you feel better.

Oh, that grey in the corner?

I've had that for a few years.

Got it during an anxious time,

When my body caved to all my fears.

It's an old friend now,

That sometimes I'll unknowingly sit in.

But I know its weight better,

I can shed it before it sets in.

Now there's a new gold,

That zooms all around.

This one's light and fluffy,

With vitality abound.

It tickles my ear,

Because attention it craves.

It says, go get the world.

Go out and be brave.
