A Morning with You

In the moments before you wake.

A Morning with You

I'd like to see, the light through your lashes.

As I experience the softness of a warm kiss.

We could snuggle up in dryer warm blankets,

As I watch the young light through the trees.

I know you are a sleepy head,

and I'll be alert well before you.

I wish we would have curtains of hanging foliage

And surrounded by pictures you- or we- have drawn.

I know you never liked the morning birds

But I always appreciate their sweet chirps.

I'll stare lazily at your bookshelf,

Staring at their titles to pass the time before you wake.

I'll be curious of all the wondrous ideas

Each story created in you.

And yearn to experience it myself,

So I could get a taste of what's inside your head.
