A Moonlit Romance
A poem written on a moonlit night many years ago.
I lay down beside you
You look so surreal
The moon’s soft, white glow
Shines upon you.
No other lights in the room,
You look so beautiful
The passion in your eyes
Reflects into me.
I reach down and touch your face
Caress you warmly
Then kiss your soft, sweet lips.
Your arms envelope me
Down I fall, into you
Into a soft, warm moonlit night.
Your tongue presses into me
Mine returns with delightful pleasure
Softly our lips tease
Your hands caress as we slip into deep ecstasy
We mold into one, becoming part of each other
Then holding tight, we sleep for the night
In comfort, knowing that we’re here, together.

I open my eyes to a fresh sunrise
The memory of you lingers in my head
But I am alone in the bed.
You were never really there, were you?
My heart knows what our love means
Though I see you only in my dreams.
