A Moon Made for Me and My Love

An Ode to Lunar Love

By Will RuhaPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Hello, moon, you balloon way up in the sky,

you round rubber ball, and lemony pie,

you're a warm bowl of curry, a big wheel of cheese,

a hive for the sweet honeybees.

A broad copper coin, a button of brass,

you're a bauble, a bubble, a bright shiny mass,

a pale world of pearl in the great cosmic sea,

suspended in space just for me.

A small globe in orbit is what others may view,

but to me, my destiny's dependent on you.

For, shining down brightly from night skies above,

is a moon made for me and my love.
