A Mind Chained

Looking to Breakaway

I'm losing more than just my focus now,

Feeling out of sync, or so it seems,

Perhaps it's the earth's rotations,

Stealing away my sweetest dreams.

+++

Trying hard to find what I deserve,

But losing myself again in these little words,

It starts to feel like an addiction, or so I think,

As I hold these chains and count each little link.

+++

But I'm not crazy, or at least, so I say,

Spending more time in my head than on display,

And I'm not asking for help, just reassurance pure,

That lines and circles are distinct, and not an obscure blur.

+++

But once again, I find myself lost in these little words,

But I'll keep searching until my voice is heard.

And a mind chained is set free.
