A Meal with Spiders

I converse with spiders

Chilling on my wall

I’ve learned all their secrets

From the depths of their darkness

I lived a life that was mine

Unholy yet divine

Honest but with lies

Free in society’s eyes

Kicked the bucket a few times

Been challenged to more than one fight

But death was elusive

And I regret not committing more crimes

And what to say of love?

Yeah I had it a few times

Such a nasty affliction

That fattened up my thighs

And then there’s the pain of life

Like a shrub that’s learned to grow spikes

A privilege in hindsight

Not unlike this bloody spider bite
