A Man With Depression
Asks his god to save him from dark thoughts

Save Me Lord, I Am Just a Man
Save me Lord, I am just a man
I walk this road with shaking hands
The nights are long, the days feel cold
And I grow tired of being bold.
I stumble through the weight of life
Through empty halls and quiet strife
My heart has fought for all it can
Save me Lord, I am just a man.
I try to rise, I try to stand
But storms keep rolling through the land
And in the rain I bow my head
While silent thoughts are filled with dread.
I watch the seasons come and go
The rivers freeze, the soft winds blow
I search for light, I search for peace
For moments when my fears will cease.
I have no crown, I own no throne
I kneel upon the earth alone
A simple soul, a fleeting breath
A shadow walking next to death.
So hear me Lord, and take my plea
Wrap gentle arms in front of me
Guide every step, fulfill your plan
Save me Lord, I am just a man.

Magic, Marie. Definitely one of your greatest poems, in my opinion. I loved the sentiment, I loved the setting, and of course, I love the rhyme.
This man took his issues to the correct person. The Lord will help.
