A lot of money out of thin air

This poem describes the first time I received a lot of money, meant to be spent traveling while studying abroad.

What happens,

When you receive

A lot of money

Out of thin air?

You spend it,

Of course!

Money meant to see the world beyond,

Is instead gambled away,

To seek even more money.

This money,

Meant for good intentions,

Was too early to give.

If you had more experience,

With large amounts of money,

Then maybe you wouldn’t have wasted it away.

What are wastes you might ask?

They mock treasures meant to soothe the soul,

Instead cluttering the mind with garbage.

Is there a means,

To undo these past mistakes?

Absolutely Nott!

They are forever etched in your mind,

Reminding you of what happened,

The first time you received

A lot of money

Out of thin air.
