A girl lives in loneliness

A sad and quite life

In a world that seems to forget her

She struggles to survive

Her days are filled with sorrow

Her nights with tears and pain

She longs for love and comfort

But it’s all in vain

She walks alone through empty street

In a city full of life

No one to hold her hand

No one to ease her strife

Her heart is fill of longing

For someone to understand

But the world is cold and uncaring

And her loneliness is grand

She dreams of a different life

Where love and joy abound

But for now she must endure

This sorrowful life unbound

So if you see this lonely girl

Reach out with kind word or touch

For in this world of loneliness

A little kindness means so much

sad poetry
