A Lonely Cloud

a poem about a lonely cloud

By Obed Kairos GaorPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

A lonely cloud, so high and free,

Drifting in the endless sky,

A solitary soul for all to see,

Yet no one stops to say "hi."

It wanders far from the others,

A misfit in the azure blue,

It longs for warmth from its brothers,

But knows not what to do.

It watches the world below,

As people rush and hurry by,

But no one looks up, don't you know,

To see the cloud in the sky.

The cloud feels so alone,

As it floats on through the day,

But still it carries on,

In its own quiet way.

And though it's just a cloud,

It has a story to tell,

Of a life lived with grace and proud,

And a hope that all is well.

So next time you look up high,

Take a moment to see,

The lonely cloud drifting by,

And give it company.
