It’s a Friday night

In my home town

I’ve got the blues

I’m feelin' so down

The love of my life

Won’t pick up the phone

She’s with another man

I’m alone at home

Tractor’s been out in the field

All night

Nothin' makes it better

Not even homemade pie

So I

Whistle to the dog

Put my boots on my feet

Pull my hat down low

I’m ready to leave

My girl’s on my mind

No text on my phone

Gotta get out

I’m too lonely at home

With a beer in my hand

And my dog in the truck

I’ll leave it all behind

Life’s just too rough

Whiskey at the bar

Blue jeans tore up

Just like my heart

So I get in my truck

Red white and blue

Flyin' high in the sky

Now my truck is my love

And I’m feelin' alright.
