A little kids first snow story.

by little Sammie.

By ᔕᗩᗰ ᕼᗩᖇTYPublished about a year ago 1 min read

The snow fell outside like thick blankets of white, I had never seen snow before, it was such a beautiful sight.

My mother said "just stay in our yard today to play and whatever you do, do not venture away."

I loved my mommy and did have every intention of obeying her, but today was a crazy day to be sure!

Our dog, 'Pinto Beans' got out of the gate, I didn't realize it until I got a call from a neighborhood mate.

"Your dog is in my yard, it's 2 blocks away and kinda far" not knowing what to do I wrote my mom a short note that said,

The snow was deep, up to my knees, it was so cold that I felt like I could freeze.

It took a long time to get 2 blocks away because I could barely move through the deep snow in the streets on the way.

Meanwhile, my mother got home and saw with a fright that her child was nowhere in sight.

Mom went into the front yard screaming out as loud as she could bare, but no answer came and she was properly scared.

By the time I trudged home in the snow, the hour was late, and my mother was there angry as heck as she wait.

My mom was ready to spank my behind for scaring her so bad. I felt all panicked because I left a note, I really had!!

I tried to explain that I left a note and I was scared so I cried, she said she was disappointed because I lied.

Luckily before the spanking, the note was found behind the kitchen counter on the ground.

My mother grabbed me and held me tight, and said she was so very proud of me for rescuing the dog that night.

I felt closer to my mom on that day. We wrapped up in blankets and watched the snow that night, the dog was safe, we were happy and all the world felt alright.
