What could be better
Right in the morning
To put on some tea
Gently open that letter
You set out the night before?
“By the time you read this,”
It says, and your heart
Beats a little faster,
Mistakenly imagining things amiss,
“I would have said it…
“Over 800 lifetimes,
My darling, let you heart be still,
And lose your worries until,
At last they are mine,
Transmuted by your will and divine grace.”
And that was it. The end.
So abrupt. So simple.
Taking me outside
To lead me back inside.
This deep knowing that
All really is well.
And so the story goes.
About the Creator
Sabayo Matiku
I express the realities and frequencies that words are carried on, to speak to the heart in a manner that is simple and free. I've come to ruffle feathers and to polish the sky, to laugh and wonder.

Beautiful! At little worrisome at first but it turned out sweet. Love your poem.
