A Letter to Myself

Dear Me

By Fatma AzzabPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Dear Me,

Why don't you love this body?

Yes, these lashes sometimes fall into your eye

But they catch the dust that falls from the sky

Yes, these eyes cannot see from a far

But they still notice the beauty of a car

Yes, these legs may not be like Madison Beer's

But they've allowed you to leap all these years

Yes, your hair may hit your face in the wind

But the flow of your locks go favorably undisciplined

Yes. this skin may not be so perfect

But that does not mean you should inflict

Please stop hurting me I try so hard

Oh, how I cry due to the shard

I take you places down below to up high

Was even there when you were shy

Hence,

Why don't you love this body?

Dear Me.
