A Letter to My Younger Self: The Lessons Life Didn’t Teach Me in Time

.

By Tsvetislav VasilevPublished about a year ago 1 min read

She sat in the old armchair of her tiny apartment, her hands trembling slightly. She had been through so much. Now, as the years were evident in the wrinkles on her face and the silver strands in her hair, she finally found the strength to write this letter. "If only I could go back and give this to myself," she thought.

She began to write:

"Dear younger me,

I know you think that everything will work out on its own. But let me tell you something you need to know—life won’t always be fair. And that’s okay."

She paused for a moment and smiled—memories of her first heartbreaks, missed opportunities, and the people she let go all came rushing back. She continued:

"There will be moments when you will feel lost. You’ll wonder why the world is the way it is. But I’m telling you—don’t give up. Because, my dear, despite all the lows, there will be so many highs."

Her eyes glistened with tears. She didn’t want her younger self to make the same mistakes, but she knew that each one of them was part of the journey.

"And finally," she wrote, "remember—it’s never too late to start again."
