Dear Kevin,

I am writing this letter to you, my best friend,

With a heavy heart that cannot mend,

For you have left this world behind,

Leaving memories that will forever bind.

You saved my life when we were young,

A debt that can never be fully repaid or undone,

You risked it all to pull me from despair,

And for that, I know that you did care.

We grew up in the inner city, a place of strife,

Where violence, poverty, and discrimination were rife,

But you never gave up; you always stood tall,

Your strength and resilience inspired us all.

You were my hero, my best friend,

A guiding light that never came to an end,

You faced every challenge with courage and grace,

And now you've left us to go to a better place.

I'll miss your laughter, your jokes, your wit,

I'll miss your presence, your spirit, your grit,

But I'll cherish the memories of the times we shared,

And the bond that we had, that was unimpaired.

Rest in peace, my dear Kevin,

You've left a mark, a legacy that will never lessen,

I'll always look up to you, my best friend,

Until we meet again at the very end.

Sincerely,

Joseph
