A Land of Pleasure

I wish i visit it more often

Drowsiness

Inflicting gentle pain

A bane for thoughts

Attaining naught but fallacy

Layered upon reality

Melting away the mind and clarity

-

Colourful lines featured on the canvas

Seen through shaky slits

Melding into beautiful galaxies

Swirling whimsically

Hypnotically

Deceptively

With the blackhole centred provocatively

Beckoning...

Like a beautiful maiden laying upon a cloud

-

A pound of rock or a pound of feathers

Which will it be that the head will tether

A mighty brawl with lids and pressures

Useless thoughts of weights and measures

Float around the brain like terrors

Threads...

Pressing you down to a land of rest

A land of pleasure...

A land of beds.

    Incredible work.

  • I would have enjoyed this at any time, but I think I especially love that last verse because I am sooo sleepy right now! Well done 👌
