A Lament for the Forgotten

In the Shadows of Scarcity

Poverty and Death

"A Lament for the Forgotten"

In the depths of despair, where shadows reign

A silent scream echoes, a soul in pain

A life reduced to nothing, but a mere existence

A struggle to survive, in a world without resistance

The pangs of hunger, a gnawing ache

A belly empty, a heart that breaks

The weight of the world, crushing and cold

A life without hope, a future to unfold

In the dark alleys, where death lurks near

A whispered farewell, a final tear

A life cut short, a promise unkept

A dream deferred, a soul that weeps

The stench of poverty, a foul decay

A life reduced to nothing, but a mere gray

The color of hope, faded and worn

A heart that's lost, a soul that's torn

In the silence of night, a lonely cry

A plea for help, a desperate sigh

A life on the brink, a soul on fire

A heart that's breaking, a spirit that tires

But still we rise, in the face of despair

A glimmer of hope, a light in the air

A beacon of resilience, a heart that's strong

A soul that's unbroken, a spirit that's not wrong

For in the darkness of poverty, there's a light that shines bright

A light that guides us, through the dark of night

A light that whispers hope, in the silence of our fears

A light that reminds us, that we are not alone in our tears

So let us hold on, to this glimmer of hope

A light that shines bright, in the darkness of our scope

Let us rise up, and let our voices be heard

A cry for justice, a plea for a world that's not so blurred

For we are not just statistics, or numbers on a page

We are human beings, with hearts that beat and rage

We are souls that yearn, for a life that's more than just a mere existence

We are hearts that hope, for a world that's full of resistance

We are the forgotten, the ones who are left behind

The ones who struggle, to make ends meet, to survive

We are the voices, that cry out in the night

The ones who plead, for a better life, a brighter light

So let us rise up, and let our voices be heard

A cry for justice, a plea for a world that's not so blurred

Let us hold on, to this glimmer of hope

A light that shines bright, in the darkness of our scope

For we are not alone, in this struggle, in this fight

We are together, in this darkness, in this light

We are the forgotten, but we will not be ignored

We will rise up, and we will be heard

This poem is a lament for the forgotten, a cry for those who are struggling to survive in a world that seems to have forgotten them. It's a poem about poverty and death, but also about hope and resilience.

The poem explores the emotional and psychological effects of poverty on individuals and communities. It describes the feelings of despair, hopelessness, and desperation that come with living in poverty.

The poem also touches on the theme of death, and how it can be a result of poverty. It describes the ways in which poverty can lead to premature death, and how it can affect not just individuals, but entire communities.
