”What is wrong, little one?” A little girl looked down, her hands filled with tears, her knees digging in the dirt of the dense and treacherous forest. She had gotten lost so many days ago; her feet could not hold her any longer.
“Who said that?” the air scratched her dry throat.
“Do not be afraid,” A shadow kneeled down to her. “I’m here to take you somewhere peaceful.”
“Who are you?” she could not see the face of the cloaked man. “Where is my mom?”
“Do not worry,” said the Grim Reaper gently. “You will see her very soon.”
