A Hope in Darkness

Darkness

It surrounds me 

I see a faint trace of light

I try to get to it

But it keeps getting farther away

Sometimes I wonder why I still try

But it always comes back the same

Hope, hope is why I keep walking

Why I keep going through this pain

Someday, I believe I will escape, No more worries, no more pain....

It's all I can do, hope

It is my light at the end of the tunnel

So I must keep marching on

Until I reach the end

Or until

The light goes out
