A Home Without Peace

When is a home not an home

A Home Without Peace

A house with walls, a roof, a door,

But silence lingers, hearts are sore.

Footsteps echo, voices low,

Love once bright, now dimmed in woe.

Laughter fades, the warmth is gone,

Days feel heavy, nights too long.

Words unspoken, heavy air,

Loneliness is everywhere.

A home needs more than bricks and light,

It needs love to make it bright.

Without it, walls just stand alone,

A house—yet never quite a home.

I love all your work, but this one really hits home. It tells an entire life story in just a few expertly chosen words. Kudos yet again.

This is so sad. Some houses do have problems, but they are usually worked out somehow. Good job.
