A Good Woman
Women aren't in need of control to be solid.
A good woman is true to herself, she doesn't need to be told
A good woman's love is solid and what a treasure to behold
She won't need much, saving her kids her last bit of air
Closing her mouth to appease your ego, her humble heart is rare
A good woman won't lie or cheat, she has nothing to hide
Her dignity is why she's good to her core but walks with humble pride
She won't need your lessons, belittling questions or the double checking that you do
She holds tight to her worth knowing with each condescending word you'll soon take that too
A good woman is a broken woman who's soul has been attacked
She is someone rare, now foolishly left wrecked by the scars on her heart that she can't give back
