I remember
your kindness, always,
even when I was absent.
You looked after
my belongings.
The sun truly shone
for me,
through your actions.
My golden boy,
designed for goodness alone,
ignoring tastes, preferences,
ignoring storms when the sun shone,
only seeing the bright.
Taming the beast
is a laborious task
especially with scratches and wounds
accumulated whilst not looking.
You simply
can't just forget.
They've etched patterns
marking the path,
though not always
the ideal route.
A good, kind man,
striving to fix
a broken system,
and thankfully, he'll never fail.
His shots are precise and well-planned
hitting the board at just the right time
and in the perfect spot.
It's a shame
that he doesn't follow
all the rules
established by those before us.
You can't fully reverse the stream.
Once the river's rhythm turns bad,
it won't be pure again, like before.
Too much rain has fallen
washing away innocent parts - too much to say.
Though
never underestimate
a good man who always tries
to be good, regardless
of the weather that surrounds him.
