This poem was written by a lover of animals, big and small. Please enjoy!

Here they are, with fuzzy paws with pointed ears,
Awaiting my arrival, gracing me with kisses;
Bringing me joy throughout the years.
Despite the clawed curtains and broken dishes.

Wild and wreckless, filled with boundless energy,
Brothers and sisters, bonded forever in love.
My favorite sickness, without the allergy,
A happy swarm of creatures from above.

Once scared; full of resistance,
Lost and then found.
Now playing with dogs in peaceful coexistence.
With no fear of the pound.
ππππ
Home to me is a house full of pets
And a heart with no regrets.
