a full moons vulnerability

touching on divinity, and self love.

By Nyashap ThiepPublished 4 years ago 2 min read

I believe that God lives in me. Not in an egotistic or superior sense. I believe God is the subtleness, the calm in my essence, the force that comforts my tidal waves, the love that is expressed in simple ways. I believe that God is in me. The admiration of my naked body, the slow application of coconut oil on my skin -- an act of love. I believe God is yearning for us to be there for ourselves, to show up for ourselves, to love others even in their mess. This humble essence quietly exists even though God's greatness is overwhelming. God does not want a title, or recognition. God does not want praise or worship. All that this god that lives in me wants is for us to honour her. Live out the way that is love --- and the simplicity of love. Where love leads, thoughtfulness, courage, kindness, authenticity, care, follow. Where these values exist; God is satisfied and honoured, God lives on, though us.

When I say the word 'God' allow yourself to think outside of just the religious sense. Think of just a spirit. An ever existing spirit all in us. Some of us have a better connection to this spirit through recognition, some of us don't. Nonetheless, this spirit we all have within us, loves, cares, nurtures. This spirit is the true mother of earth.

A poem, 'I am divine.' - n.t

I am divine

from my kiss,

to my hypnotic thighs.

the earthly goddess took her time,

wilted with thorns,

sorrowful eyes,

beating heart,

fleshly disguise,

through a full moons divulgence,

newer sentiments arise;

I welcome them in.

touching my divinity

I feel most beautiful when I am naked. Sensuality and expression is an abyss of liberation that celebrates us as we celebrate it. An abyss that expands and grows wider, as we have the courage to take up more space. God wants me to be free, God wants all of us to be free, our own divinity asks that we dance in our presence and to see our own skin, feel our own skin, to admire this skin. Divinity wants us to realise that skin is not constrained to flesh, instead it is the protection of something seraphic inside. We need to take care of this house that protects our purity. God wants us to for once, recognise just how divine we are.

Now, do not mistake purity for being free of physicalities. Instead view purity as something we all have. As the essence beneath all layers of conditioning. Purity is the truth that we have all forgotten. Love is purity. Seeking nobody in particular, non judgemental, never biassed, no ego, not opinionated. Purity is the substance that is rich in love, rich in an authentic spirit, and lacking in greed and envy. Purity is the freedom of a polluted mind and heart. Purity is the opposite of evil, the goodness of one's heart.
