A frog in my throat

By Josh RPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

I have a cold

And it’s fine, a sniffle

In my throat a tickle, bunged up

Stuffed right up come bed time

And it’s rubbish it’s June

A rainy June too

But it’s honestly fine

Because the way you make me catch my breath is nice

Really nice

And ease a sigh

All because you seem to carry the sun yourself

So the worst of this cold in June

Is probably that

Is definitely that I have to wait for now

Maybe a day or two

So, years,

But God, no more than a day or two

And kiss you in July

Love anything larger than life, especially if it's theatre.

Come and read about horrors, cowboys, magical beasts, pirates and lovers. Maybe not all at once.
