fish straight from smiling pond to hungry table

ish went the flopping catch fresh from its cradle

sh said the fire sleep sweet small angel

+

guests cut teeth into flesh like a sharp pinking shear

oh the sighs of delight the skilled chef he did hear

sweet musical feelings out of bones to his ear

+

short flashes of memories long left the fish

amidst flutters of lashes poor thing had one wish:

to see loved ones again not as ashes or a dish

+

his angel twinkled; a lit tunnel she did send

is this home? fish winkled and it swam fast to the end
