A First Date

I met you on a day

Thats been stuck on replay

With thoughts of all the things I didn't say

Like

This feels like our first date

It felt coming home

After years of being on your own

Company that makes you believe that you don't have to die alone

She was nothing like the others that I have clearly outgrown

A future love that fills you with nothing but hope

A love that helps me release the fear of the unknown

Reminding me of the beauty of going with the flow

A love that makes me want to let go

Of everything but your hand

Intertwined fingers growing roots for me to stand

A love gifted by the heavens believed to pure for any man

I would choose you in a heartbeat if ever given the chance.
